Come what may

“I never wish to be easily defined. I’d rather float over other people’s minds as something strictly fluid and non-perceivable; more like a transparent, paradoxically iridescent creature rather than an actual person.”

-Franz Kafka

My 11th year math teacher told me this: “Your friendship group will change every three years. So don’t give up opportunities for people who won’t be there when push comes to shove. There will be few exceptions over the years, hold onto those people tight.”
At that moment in class my head was already planning out my weekend with people I “knew” would be there forever.
I was wrong.
